out of my tree?

This is the big old tree that grows in front of my house, as seen from my bedroom window. When I first moved here, I found lots of beautiful crystals buried under the gnarled roots. What I love most about this tree is that every morning when I look outside, that long-legged-tophat- wearing man is out there waving to me. Can you see him?

my first love

This is the first guy I fell in love with, Marine Boy. Marine Boy was one of the first anime cartoons shown in the US . Marine Boy was known as Kaitei Shonen Marien (Marine The Sea Bottom Boy) in Japan. It was about the undersea adventures of a boy who was able to breathe under water by chewing a special chewing gum called "oxy-gum". He was powered underwater by his booster boots and armed with a boomerang.

I spent months trying to figure out how to become a cartoon so that I could marry Marine Boy, but as you know, that never really worked out. A few years later Speed Racer hit the scene with his flashy car, erasing any feelings that I had for Marine Boy.
